Place du Capitole

Museum de Toulouse

Saint Etienne Cathedral

How to reach Toulouse
By Air

Daily domestic and international scheduled flights land at Blagnac airport, 11 km west of Toulouse city centre. Air France operates approximately 30-minute flights to / from Paris, which are usually priced at about €50 each way, if booked in advance. Several flights to major European cities such as London, Munich, Frankfurt, and Madrid are also available. To get to the city from the airport, take the "Shuttle Bus" to either the central bus / train station, or the Jean Jaures or Jeanne D'Arc metro stations in the city center for €8 one way or € 15 return (price as at Mar 16). The journey takes 20-30 minutes, and every 20 minutes, the bus operates. The ticket is also valid within 90 minutes of activation, for transfers to other public city buses. Tickets can be purchased at the airport or driver's side. Option two is to take tram line T2 at Arenes station right outside the airport, then change to Metro red line A. This costs €1,70 (price as of January 2019), allowing just one ticket as the ticket is valid within 1 hour of first validation. This journey takes about 35-40 minutes, and can take much longer in the weekend because there are fewer trams. You can buy the fare from the ticket machine, or at the airport tram station's ticket office. Another choice is to take bus 30 from there to metro station Andromede-Lycee and the tram, but this bus only runs sporadically. A taxi to the center should cost between 20 and 22 Euro.

By Train

SNCF is France's national interurban train operator. You can buy cheap tickets through iDTGV which offers Paris tickets starting from €18. Trains to Paris take 5-7.5 hours, trains take 2 hours to Bordeaux and trains take 4 hours to Marseille. The train station is centrally located in Toulouse.
Toulouse is one end of the Pyrenees train line (Line 22 of the TER Midi-Pyrénées). This line goes via Ariège, and most trains end up at Foix, the capital. However, six trains a day continue to Andorra-L'Hospitalet and Latour-de-Carol from Toulouse and Foix, where you can change trains to Barcelona. The train to Andorre-L'Hospitalet takes 3 hours, 30 minutes and it takes about 7 hours to complete the journey to Barcelona (including the Latour-de-Carol change) and costs 30 euros.

By Bus

Bus and metro terminal is located at the railway station.
Megabus is currently running ultra-cheap bus rides with stops in Barcelona, Paris and London.  They   do have routes to and from Amsterdam and other cities. Fares to any destination start at 1 €plus a reservation fee of 50 cent if you book well in advance.
Bus services to Spain, Belgium , Italy and Portugal can be arranged via Alsa bus leaving from Toulouse's main bus station.

By Car

Major highways towards Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Barcelona Carsharing is very common, and most residents in Toulouse do so because train fares are expensive and bus routes are almost non-existent. Bla Bla Car is online, linking drivers and passengers. Last minute trips easy to book too!
You should stop having a car downtown, because there are few parking spaces. One good option is to drive to a subway station just outside the center and park there, and then head downtown by subway.

By Taxi

Capitole Taxi is the only taxi operator authorised, and often has poor service. Whether you want to return to your hotel after the bus leaves, you need to pre-book a taxi or be prepared for an hour's wait.
